- Obtaining a medical history and performing physical examinations
- Performing nursing and other patient assessments
- Obtaining consents for treatment or procedures
- Providing treatment
- When patients are receiving or recovering from sedation or
anesthesia
- Arranging discharge and post-hospital care
- Providing patient education and discharge instructions
