The Hospital Patient
Safety program integrates patients, families, faculty, and staff in
efforts to reduce errors and improve safety.
The Hospital Quality
program ensures that the organization designs processes well and systematically
monitors, analyzes, and improves its performance to improve patient outcomes.
The Accreditation Management Team is responsible for assessing compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and licensing requirements and for guiding hospital and medical staff leaders, directors, managers, supervisors, and staff in meeting national standards of care, service, and practice and in maintaining ongoing readiness for the next patient, and in turn, for regulatory visits.
The Quality Design program
is responsible for redesigning UK Hospital's processes, and getting the right things, to the right place, at the right time, in the right quantity while minimizing waste and being flexible and open to change
The Interpreters
program assures that language interpreters are provided to patients who are unable to communicate effectively in English. Sign-language interpreters are provided for patients whose hearing loss prevents effective verbal communication.
The Patient Education
program provides patient and family education from hospital to clinic to home
